frequently asked questions (asked by nobody, answered anyway ♡)

The site

What is this?

A K-pop fan's desktop that crashed halfway through loading: a watch party where everyone sees the same music video at the same moment, a chat, photocard gacha, a bias pet, a guess-the-MV game, a 1999-style homepage with a guestbook, and a long weird scroll down. It's a hobby project made for fun.

Is this an official site of any group or agency?

No. kpop.no is an unofficial fan site and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any artist, agency, label or broadcaster. Artist and group names, logos and music belong to their owners.

Does it cost anything? Are there ads?

It's free, with no ads, no accounts and no tracking.

The watch party

Why can't I pick the song or pause it?

It works like a TV channel: the playlist has been looping since 1 January 2026, and every browser works out the same video and second from the server's clock. Nobody controls playback, so everyone's always watching together.

Why is there no sound?

Browsers only allow videos to start by themselves if they're muted. Press "click to unmute" on the watch-party TV.

Are the music videos hosted here?

No. They're the artists' and labels' own official uploads, played through YouTube's embedded player, so views count on YouTube as usual. The playlist only uses official channels: no fan edits, re-uploads or leaks.

A video won't play.

Some videos can't be embedded in certain countries or on some devices. The TV then shows static until the next video starts. Ad blockers and strict privacy settings can also stop YouTube's player from loading.

Chat rules

The rules
  • Be kind. No hate towards idols, groups, fandoms or each other.
  • No slurs, sexual content, threats or harassment.
  • No links, ads or spam (the chat blocks links anyway).
  • Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't share anyone's personal information, including your own.
  • No leaks or spoilers of unreleased content.

A word filter turns rude words into ♡ and refuses rude names. Messages disappear after an hour.

Do I need an account?

No. Pick any name (2–20 letters or numbers) and start chatting. Nobody else in the room can take a name that's in use at the moment.

Someone broke the rules. How do I report it?

Email svett.korall_7i@icloud.com with the name, roughly when it happened and what was said. Chat messages vanish after an hour on their own, so for the chat this matters most for repeat trouble.

The guestbook

How do I remove my guestbook entry?

Email svett.korall_7i@icloud.com with the name you signed with, roughly when, and what it said, and we'll delete it. Only the newest 200 entries are kept, so old ones drop off by themselves.

Why was my entry refused?

Names and messages go through the same word filter as the chat, links aren't allowed, and you can sign once every 30 seconds.

Your stuff

Where are my photocards, pet and game streak saved?

Only in your own browser. They don't follow you to another device or browser, and they're gone if you clear this site's data. See privacy & cookies for the full list.

Does kpop.no use cookies?

No. A few features remember things in your browser's local storage, and the YouTube player is loaded from Google. The privacy page explains it all.

Credits & copyright

Where do the photocard photos come from?

Freely licensed photos from Wikimedia Commons, credited on each card and in Start menu → photo credits.

Something here is yours and you want it removed.

Email svett.korall_7i@icloud.com with what it is and where it appears on the site, and it'll be taken down quickly.
